Job Description

The Dishwasher is responsible for performing various kitchen cleaning and storage activities such as but not limited to dish washing, pot washing, general and equipment cleaning, storage and rotation of food and supplies. Responsible for handling all foods, storage and cleaning activities in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards and complies with all federal, state and local regulatory procedures regarding food storage, cleaning and preparation.

Responsible for cleaning all plates, glasses, silverware and other serveware necessary for the dining room

Responsible for cleaning all pots, pans, food storage containers and other equipment needed for food service

Assists with food preparation during slower periods of service. Food preparation volume is determined by kitchen manager

Removes and disposes of trash from kitchen

Supports line cooks during busy service periods

Maintains and cleans dish machine and other equipment necessary for the dish station

Follows all cleaning schedules and standards for kitchen as determined by kitchen management including break down of station after service periods, works with all kitchen staff to clean communal areas of kitchen

Maintains respectful professional relationships with all restaurant staff in accordance with human relations standards set forth by management

Responsible for maintenance of own uniform in accordance with dress code for kitchen employees
Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or casual dining restaurant

Ability to handle multiple priorities

Ability to stand for long period so time, lift 25 lbs., and bend, climb or work in confined spaces

Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication

You must have organizational and time management skills and demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
